Conventional materials

Maximum performance, reliability and protection for demanding applications

High performance multilayer structures, developed to ensure efficient barrier, mechanical strength and machine stability.

The best choice for products requiring optimal preservation and demanding packaging processes.

Main materials used

  • PET (Polyester) and metallised PET
PET is a widely used material because of its rigidity, dimensional stability and good mechanical strength. It offers a moderate barrier and excellent print support.
The Metallised PET incorporates a thin metallic coating that significantly improves the barrier to light, oxygen and water vapour, It is ideal for sensitive products that require more protection.
  • Aluminium (AL)
Aluminium provides a total barrier against light, oxygen, moisture and aromas. It is one of the most effective materials for ensuring product preservation, especially in applications where protection is critical.
  • OPA (Polyamide)
The OPA stands out for its high impact, puncture and tear resistance, It is particularly suitable for products that require greater resistance during transport and handling. It is particularly suitable for products that require greater resistance during transport and handling.
  • LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene)
LDPE is mainly used as sealing layer, thanks to its flexibility, moisture resistance and excellent sealing capacity, guaranteeing secure and airtight seals.
  • OPP (Oriented Polypropylene) and metallised OPP
OPP is a highly versatile material, valued for its transparency, rigidity and good surface finish, ideal for packaging with high aesthetic demands.
The OPP metallised improves its barrier properties, offering greater protection against light and oxygen.

BOLSAPLAST also has structures suitable for thermal processes, The use of the product in the production process, such as pasteurisation and sterilisation, while maintaining the integrity of the packaging and the safety of the product.

Applications

They are especially recommended for applications such as:

Sensitive feeding requiring high barrier properties (coffee, cocoa, snacks, powdered products).

Products in need of long shelf life, protection against light, oxygen and moisture.

Thermally processed packaging, such as pasteurisation or sterilisation.

Products with high mechanical requirements, during transport and handling.

High speed packaging lines, where material stability is critical.

These structures are still the reference option when the priority is the technical performance and product safety.
